A leading psychological training in our country, in the clinical, organizational, and educational fields

The Psychology degree course provides global training in the basic professional competences to develop the profession of psychologist. The Psychology degree allows graduates to develop this profession in different fields, and is a requirement to access other official higher courses (specialities).

Psychologists have enough scientific knowledge to understand, interpret, analyze, and explain human behaviour. Psychologists have basic knowledge and competences to decide the optimum assessment process, and propose intervention strategies to meet the demands expressed in different contexts and fields.

Psychology has gone deeply into different areas of knowledge, and has specialized in different fields, so that it offers many possibilities for postgraduate training.

The three traditional fields of psychology are health, organizations, and education. Health and clinical psychology studies the psychological processes of individuals, and deals with psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention (individual, couple, group, family) of people with some kind of mental disorder or with emotional turmoil.

Organizational and group psychology focuses on the study of human behaviour in relation to the social systems (working world, politics, etc.). It deals with the conditions under which individuals develop their activities, watching over the promotion of quality of life and adjustment to the organizational and business environment.

Educational psychology studies the change processes of people in teaching-learning situations, and analyzes what individual and contextual factors facilitate or inhibit these change processes. Their comprehension and explanation is essential to improve the quality of education.

Duration: 4 academic years
Timetable: morning or afternoon. If admitted, the possibility to choose morning or afternoon timetable, as long as there are places available, depends on pre-registration date.
